Orchid taxonomist Francisco Miranda will share with us his knowledge about growing orchids of the Brazil. Francisco Miranda was born in Rio de Janeiro and grew up in Brazil. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Botany and twenty-five years of experience growing and breeding Brazilian orchids. He has written many papers and two books. Since 2001, He has been a qualified Taxonomic Authority for the American Orchid Society specializing in the determination of Brazilian species. He owns Miranda Orchids, a nursery specializing in the orchids of Brazil.
